A brief survey of the activities of the unit is given below:
The unit organizes tree plantation drive every year and at least twenty trees are planted. The unit also takes care of the trees planted in the last year.
The institution organizes one blood donation camp every year during their training.
The cadets of the unit often visit such places as civil hospital, balashram (orphanage) etc. They help various donors in distributing various aids to the needy patients and also do the sanitation work in the hospital. When they visit orphanage, they develop intimacy with the children. Such visits to various institutions engaged in social service orientate the cadets to community work.
The cadets of the unit have worked as volunteers with the Rotary Club in the Polio Vaccination Drive for the last five years. They remain on the vaccination booth for the whole day and administer polio drops to children.
The cadets take part in the Republic Day Parade on 26th January and the Independence Day Parade on 15th August every year in Gondal organized by the government. The other bodies that take part in this Parade are SRP, City Police, Home Guard, NCC (girls unit), and junior NCC. Since long the NCC unit of this institution stands either first or second in the March-Past competition held every year on the Independence Day and the Republic Day.
NCC is a major organization involved in preparing students for ncc National service. The NCC unit of the institution continuously organizes various programs of social service and community work. But mention must be made of the work of the NCC cadets of this institution during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The cadets worked in the area of civil defense. The cadets often visit various asylums and shelter houses for aged and disabled people. They stay there for the whole day and share their lunch Tiffin that they carry with them from their homes.
Many cadets of our NCC unit worked for three days in the elections held during the Kargil War as per the instruction of the 2, Gujarat Battalion.
During the devastating earthquake in Gujarat in 2000, eighteen (18) cadets were sent to 2, Gujarat Battalion, Rajkot. These cadets worked with the various government agencies for the rescue and rehabilitation of the earthquake affected areas of Morvi town and surrounding villages.

Conclusion :
The NCC unit of the institution is, thus, the pride of the institution. It has brought glory and fame to the institution. The rewards of this activity are indeed very encouraging and we have noticed the qualities of discipline, obedience, and toughness developing in the students. The training makes them self-reliant and independent. NCC makes them good citizens. It inculcates in them sense of devotion to own country. Such students create an impression of their own wherever they go.
The college is located in a rural area and most of our cadets come from small villages. In spite of this the unit has achieved a remarkable success which is a matter of great pride to the institution.
