Last five year we creat extra reading meterials And Question Bank for P.G. And U.G..
Due to non availability of staff our P. G. Center was closed for 2 years. On reopening of the P. G. Center, a lecture of renowned Expert of Gujarati Shri Labhshanker Purohit was arranged at Shri Bhuvaneshvari Peeth Bhojanalay- Gondal. The auspicious day was 30/06/2005.
For the benefit of T.Y.B.A. students of both Mahila Arts, Commerce & Home Science College and M. B. Arts & Commerce College, a self funded one day shibir is organized every year.
A one day shibir was organized on 02/10/2005 on Princilels of Literature (T.Y.B.A. paper-8). Former director of Prachya Vidhya Mandir Dr. Rajendra Nanavati and Dr. Minalben Dave , Head of Gujarati Deprtment. Bharuch College delivered speeches. Total 158 girls, 28 boys and 25 lecturers from various colleges participated in this event. On the following day Dr. Rajendra Nanavati addressed to the students of Post Graduate Center in Gujarati and talked about "Dhvani and Shabda Shakti".

During 2006-07, Gujarati’s renowned expert Shri Labhshanker Purohit’s talk on “Origin and Stages of development of Gujarati language”. Program ended with interesting question & answer session.
Faculty members encourage our students to actively participate in various programs. As a result of their sincere efforts, students participated in the programs at Amreli and Jetpur.
Any student from college, who wants to appear in NET/SLET examination with Gujarati as a subject, is guided accordingly about reference books and their availability, study material, how to prepare for the examination etc.
A self funded one day program was organized by the department in collaboration with the Gujarati department of Mahila Arts, Commerce & Home Science College, Gondal on 31st Dec. 2005. Dr. Vinod Joshi, Head of Gujarati Department at Bhavnagar University delivered lectures. The thrust area of this program was the syllabus of Paper 10 & 11 of T. Y. B. A. Gujarati. The students had very fruitful interactions with the resource person. Total 179 students and 17 Lecturers took part in this program.
Plan of action of the department for the next five years :
A question Bank for the department students will be prepared.
Prepare reading material and make it available in the library.
Prepare a list of reference books & make it available for both U.G. & P. G. students.
Prepare an Encyclopedia of renowned experts of Gujarati and make it available in the library for reference.
